Butler Community College stands out as the first Adobe Creative Campus in Kansas

Butler Community College, a two-campus institution in Kansas, needed to stand out in a competitive higher-education market by preparing students from diverse backgrounds with the practical digital skills employers now expect. The college faced the challenge of removing cost and access barriers while embedding digital literacy across programs—from nursing and education to IT and language courses—so graduates would be workforce-ready.

To meet this need Butler became the first Adobe Creative Campus in Kansas, integrated Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Express into its Canvas LMS, provided licenses and low-cost laptops, and built faculty development and peer‑training programs. The result: broader access to industry-standard tools, more multimodal and engaging coursework, stronger student portfolios and confidence, and improved career readiness—backed by research showing higher engagement, retention, and increased market value for creative skills.
