Clifford Chance, one of the world’s largest law firms, faced the challenge of modernizing a traditionally face-to-face, paper-heavy business for a digital-first world. Fragmented legacy systems, a need to deliver consumer-grade digital experiences for B2B clients, and the sudden shift to remote work during COVID-19 made it essential to transform marketing, client portals, and document workflows.
The firm implemented an integrated Adobe stack — Experience Manager, Analytics, Target, Campaign, Document Cloud/Sign and Creative Cloud — and aligned marketing and IT around agile delivery. The results: client-portal usage rose 61%, document workflows scaled during the pandemic to ~2,000 contracts signed per month, average contract turnaround dropped to about 15 minutes, and 83% of agreements are signed correctly first time, speeding billing and improving client and employee experience.
