BMW Group France digitalizes its business processes with Adobe Acrobat Sign

BMW Group France, the French arm of BMW Group with about 1,000 employees, needed to modernize slow, paper-based document and contract workflows that relied on mail, scanning and manual initials. The company sought a secure, GDPR- and eIDAS-compliant e-signature solution to support remote and flexible working, eliminate paper, reduce errors and speed up processes across four business units (sales, finance, distribution and leasing).

BMW Group France implemented Adobe Acrobat Sign, running proofs of concept and integrating it with DocuWare and an electronic archiving system to standardize HR and business processes. The rollout cut signing times from weeks or months to an average of 24–48 hours, enabled 10,000 digitally created and signed documents per year (about 200,000 pages), reduced compliance and litigation risk, improved employee experience, and extended use into legal, purchasing and sales while enhancing the group’s reputation.
