ADVA, a global telecommunications company with approximately 2000 employees, faced a significant security challenge. They needed to remove users from local administrator groups to mitigate malware risks, while simultaneously enabling their developers and other staff to install software and change settings without hindering productivity or over-relying on Help Desk support.

To address this, ADVA implemented Admin By Request’s Privileged Access Management solution. The deployment across 2500 endpoints was completed in phases, ultimately removing all users from the local admin group. Employees used the self-service tool to obtain temporary admin rights as needed. Admin By Request successfully enhanced security without disrupting workflow, leading to a drastic reduction in malware infection risks and a eventual drop in related Help Desk tickets after an initial learning period.
