The National Government Organization needed to build a web-accessible, searchable archive from hundreds of thousands of uncategorized files, presenting complete personal war histories and rapidly processing a massive backlog with a goal to automate the vast majority of records. To meet this challenge they engaged Adlib Software, deploying Adlib PDF (Adlib PDF Enterprise and Advanced Rendering) to integrate with their SharePoint environment and handle high-volume document conversion.

Adlib Software implemented an integrated, automated workflow using Adlib PDF’s Advanced Rendering to convert and merge scanned images into compound PDFs, add metadata via scripts, and apply rules-based rendering to assemble personal stories. The solution enabled successful scanning of hundreds of thousands of pages into thousands of compound documents, improved searchability and presentation, and delivered a fast, accurate, flexible and accessible archival system.
