Connecting Multiple Systems to Free Dark Data

The International Insurance Company needed to migrate large volumes of TIFF files into high-fidelity, searchable PDFs and integrate the conversion process with its existing ECMs (Microsoft® SharePoint® and OpenText®) to turn dark data into usable information. They engaged Adlib Software, leveraging Adlib PDF and Advanced Rendering capabilities, to ensure the TIFF content became text-searchable and that the solution would integrate with both SharePoint and OpenText.

Adlib Software integrated with SharePoint and OpenText to extract TIFFs, apply OCR, convert them to high-fidelity searchable PDFs, and place the final files into the target repository. Using Adlib PDF, the insurer achieved successful conversion and OCR at scale, connected stored TIFFs to SharePoint for processing, pushed searchable PDFs into OpenText, and converted previously inaccessible dark data into usable, shareable information.
