Yelp, a platform connecting millions of users to local businesses across desktop and mobile, needed clearer visibility into how users moved between channels. With large audiences on both web and app, Yelp sought to tie desktop and mobile acquisition together to better understand the full user journey and improve user experiences.

Yelp integrated the Adjust SDK to track custom login and simulated install events, passing granular parameters (including hashed Yelp IDs) via real-time callbacks into its Redshift database. By combining attribution data with Yelp’s own IDs and location info, the company now links desktop and mobile behaviors, builds custom reports, and makes more informed marketing decisions based on a cohesive view of the user journey.
