Leroy Merlin, a leading home improvement retailer, sought to reduce the carbon emissions from its digital advertising campaigns without compromising on performance. The challenge was to find a solution that would lessen the environmental impact of bidding processes, server usage, and creative distribution. To address this, they partnered with their digital agency, Mediaplus Italy, and the vendor Adform to leverage its carbon reduction feature.

Adform implemented a solution using its FLOW platform, powered by Scope3, which provided emissions data across the digital supply chain. A daily-updated blocklist was used to exclude high-emission domains from campaign targeting. As a result, Leroy Merlin reduced its campaign carbon emissions by approximately 67% compared to the national average while also improving its Cost Per Session, demonstrating Adform's ability to deliver both sustainability and performance.
