Volunteer-Led Emails Improve Local Community Engagement For The IET

The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) needed a better way to engage members and non-members across more than 100 volunteer-run local networks with more personal, targeted emails, while still maintaining branding, data security, and ease of use. IET partnered with Adestra, using MessageFocus, to support this more localized communication approach.

Adestra implemented a volunteer-friendly solution built around flexible account structure and permissions management, with limited workspace access, automated daily data feeds, personalized templates, and a two-step approval process. The rollout enabled 27 volunteers to send emails, and the program achieved a 32% average open rate, with positive feedback from users.
