The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) needed to re-engage subscribers who were receiving its Technical and Professional Community emails but not opening them, while also filtering out unengaged contacts without excluding new subscribers too early. Working with Adestra and the MessageFocus platform, the IET tested the program across selected communities to improve email performance and maintain a healthier database.
Adestra helped the IET implement automated engagement filters and a two-stage re-engagement campaign with personalized emails and split-tested subject lines. The results were strong: Adestra supported the re-activation of 8,360 contacts, including 2,175 click-throughs, while the IET also saw a 7.4% year-on-year increase in open rates and a 40% increase in click rates.
