Walkers, a law firm, had used Aderant Expert for more than 15 years but was working on an older version that made time entry cumbersome and inconsistent. Timekeepers often relied on end-of-day notes, which created delays, billing bottlenecks, and concerns about lost billable time. The firm evaluated time recording options, including Aderant Expert Time Management 8.0, to improve contemporaneous time capture.

Aderant implemented Expert Time Management 8.0, giving Walkers a more intuitive, Outlook-like interface with flexible views, auto-prompting, easier repeat entries, email-based time entry, and better editing capabilities. The new framework also let remote users enter time directly from their desktops, eliminating the need for Citrix and reducing IT and network burden. As a result, Walkers achieved more timely and accurate time entries, reduced billing bottlenecks, and gained higher ROI by using functionality already included in its Aderant service agreement.
