Zenreach brews up a new way to bring back lost customers

Coffee Chain, a multi-location coffee retailer facing intense local competition, needed a cost-effective way to win back lapsed customers who weren’t in its loyalty program and to measure real in-store results. The brand partnered with Adentro, using Adentro’s guest WiFi visit-tracking and walk-through measurement to identify customers who hadn’t returned in 30+ days and to connect digital ads to actual store visits.

Adentro targeted those lapsed customers with a simple new-product campaign (a flavored latte and specialty quiche) and measured results with its walk-through metric. Nearly 13,000 customers returned within 30 days (47% within one day), at a cost per visit of $1.23 — well under the $5 goal — yielding a single-visit ROAS of 4.2 and an average 2.9 visits totaling $14.60 per customer in 30 days; a $16,000 ad spend returned $91,000 (>6x). Adentro’s direct in-store measurement also revealed clicks (2,529) vastly underestimated actual returns (12,981 walk-ins).
