Aetna boosts preeclampsia engagement with (add)ventures: 50% chose low-dose aspirin

The customer Aetna faced the challenge of reversing the increasing rate of preeclampsia, a leading cause of maternal and infant illness and death. They developed an evidence-based intervention program but needed a powerful way to deliver it to their at-risk members. To address this, they partnered with the vendor (add)ventures for campaign development and customer experience strategy.

(add)ventures created a targeted outreach campaign featuring personalized care kits with educational materials and low-dose aspirin. This solution was highly successful; a pilot program saw 50% of members choose to take aspirin, 62% talk with their doctors about interventions, and 63% read most of the provided materials. The vendor subsequently developed a new program focused on Black women, using researched insights to create empowering content and tools to help them advocate for their health within the healthcare system.
