Messiah Uses MDM to Support End Users

Messiah University, a liberal arts school in Mechanicsburg, PA, needed a better way to support its growing Apple fleet. With a lean IT team managing around 200 Mac users alongside about 1,000 Windows PCs, the university lacked visibility into its Apple devices and had no remote support tools for Macs, making it difficult to keep devices maintained and issues from escalating. Addigy’s mobile device management (MDM) solution was chosen to help fill that gap.

With Addigy, Messiah University gained inventory visibility, remote support, software update management, and user grouping tools for classroom and school-level administration. The IT team says it has seen fewer helpdesk tickets from Mac users, improved proactive support through monitoring and alerts, and more time to focus on policy development. According to Craig Gephart, Messiah’s Macs are now “in the best shape ever and managed with confidence.”
