CPA Canada migrates 316 databases to Azure with Adastra

CPA Canada, one of the world's largest national accounting bodies, sought to modernize its data estate by migrating away from its legacy on-premises SQL Servers. The organization faced the challenge of moving over 300 business-critical databases to the cloud and engaged Adastra through the Microsoft Azure Migration Program to achieve this.

Adastra utilized the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework to successfully migrate 316 databases to Azure SQL Managed Instance. The solution involved creating a secure cloud infrastructure with eight landing zones and delivering a new operational run-book. As a result, CPA Canada achieved significant savings on licensing costs and gained a modern, scalable, and stable cloud environment.
