SDC Cuts Costs by $16M Annually with Fujitsu’s NetCOBOL

Skandinavisk Data Center (SDC), an IT services provider for Scandinavian banks, faced high operational costs and less agility due to its mainframe environment. To remain competitive, SDC needed to modernize its core banking infrastructure and turned to vendor Adaptigent for a solution.

Adaptigent implemented a solution using Fujitsu NetCOBOL to migrate 11.2 million lines of COBOL code to the Microsoft .NET Framework. This transition, supported by Adaptigent, resulted in SDC cutting its annual operating costs by $16 million while achieving 99.8% system availability to handle over 20 million daily transactions, successfully protecting their legacy investment.
