The Global Metropolis Department, a public entity responsible for water supply and environmental safety in a major city, faced challenges with vehicle noise and air pollution, as well as fraudulent asbestos handling certifications. These issues, stemming from manual processes, were impacting public safety and regulatory enforcement. Acuvate's solution employed holistic AI to automatically identify and fine vehicles with illegal mufflers, while a smart ML system detected idling violations from video data. A blockchain platform was also implemented to digitize and bring transparency to the asbestos certification process. The results enabled the department to automate penalization, resolve complaints faster, and achieve estimated savings of $12.5 million per year.
