xByte Technologies, a Bradenton, FL-based reseller of new and refurbished Dell servers and network switches, had doubled revenue to about $24M but was hamstrung by an aging Everest ERP on end-of-life Windows Server and complex serialized inventory from its refurbishing operations. The slow, unstable system and manual processes limited visibility into financials and AR, burdened a two-person accounting team, and slowed sales and warehouse responsiveness.
xByte implemented Acumatica on-premises and integrated it with a Magento ecommerce site (via Kensium) and existing third‑party tools like FedEx, enabling automated bill-of-materials creation, mobile inventory lookups, and dashboard drill-downs. The change improved financial and AR visibility, shaved about three hours/day off invoicing, saved sales a couple hours/day on lookups, boosted warehouse productivity (1–2 hours/day), and freed accounting to focus on higher‑value work while increasing customer responsiveness.
