Soundcast, a San Diego–based designer and manufacturer of portable wireless audio devices, spun off from its parent company in 2015 and could not continue using the parent’s NetSuite ERP. Facing high costs and a need for a budget-friendly, familiar system, Soundcast sought an alternative that would support growth and give them control of their data.
Soundcast implemented Acumatica Financial and Distribution Management (SaaS) in early 2016, leveraging unlimited-user licensing, cloud/on-premise/hybrid options, and EDI integration. The switch cut annual costs (about $10K vs. NetSuite), eliminated duplicate data entry, improved financial reporting and usability, and provided consistent mobile access and flexible data access for custom reporting.
