SEACOM, a pan‑African telecommunications and ICT provider that grew rapidly through six acquisitions and expanded across multiple countries, outgrew its basic legacy accounting system. The old platform couldn’t handle multi‑currency consolidations, complex approval workflows or rising transaction volumes, forcing manual workarounds and slowing billing, reporting and supplier controls.
SEACOM implemented Acumatica Cloud ERP—deploying the platform across multiple entities (13 companies in five months and now supporting ~20 entities/multiple currencies)—to automate currency updates, deferred revenue, bank statement processing and integrations with Power BI, YayPay and custom billing. The result: real‑time reporting and faster decision‑making, 15–20% monthly time savings for accountants, quicker service provisioning and a scalable financial platform to support continued expansion.
