Case Study: Shoebacca achieves real-time inventory control and higher profits with Acumatica

A Acumatica Case Study

Preview of the Shoebacca Case Study

More efficient online shoe reseller boosts profits thanks to Acumatica

Shoebacca is an Irving, TX–based online retailer that grew rapidly from an eBay reseller into a high-volume e‑commerce business selling brand‑name shoes. That growth exposed weaknesses in its infrastructure: multiple non‑integrated systems, a home‑grown warehouse management system, heavy ETL work, and rising costs and limitations with other ERP options that prevented real‑time operations and scalable customization.

Shoebacca implemented cloud‑based Acumatica to unify its online store, WMS and financials, gaining a customizable, real‑time platform. The result: tighter inventory control across roughly 750,000 SKUs and a 500,000 sq. ft. warehouse, automated accounting and drop‑ship processing, elimination of an in‑house development team (from ~7 to 2), removal of on‑premises servers and per‑user licensing costs, and improved sell‑through, operational efficiency and profitability.
