Opflex Technologies, an Indianapolis-based environmental manufacturer of biodegradable OPFLEX® foams used in water purification, oil-spill cleanup and consumer products, struggled with manual, disjointed systems and a cash-basis approach that obscured true product costs. With about 150 SKUs and costing information scattered across departments, the company lacked the visibility needed to set accurate prices, prioritize customers, and protect margins.

Opflex implemented Acumatica (Financial, Distribution, Project Accounting) with JAAS Advanced Manufacturing (JAMS), deployed in the cloud with support from Crestwood Associates and JAAS. The integrated solution centralized BOMs and cost accounting, brought production staff into transactional processes, and delivered verifiable SKU-level costs—enabling a pricing model that significantly increased gross margin—while reducing TCO, improving reporting and strategic decision-making.
