Case Study: Danforth Pewter achieves accurate inventory and faster order fulfillment with Acumatica

A Acumatica Case Study

Preview of the Danforth Pewter Case Study

Danforth Pewter adds modern ERP to colonial foundation

Danforth Pewter, a Middlebury, VT maker and retailer of handmade pewter founded in 1975, sells online, in six retail locations and through wholesale. After running on aging hardware and two nonintegrated systems (NCR Counterpoint POS and Sage/Sage Platinum) they faced failing equipment, unsupported software, duplicate data entry, inaccurate quarterly inventory counts and delayed sales reporting—and needed an affordable, integrated ERP that would tie to their POS and website.

In 2014 they implemented Acumatica ERP on-premises (with Fusion POS and JAMS manufacturing) and completed the rollout with partner PC Bennett. The integrated solution eliminated manual data entry, delivered real-time sales and inventory visibility, cut hours from cycle counts, increased orders shipped per day and employee productivity, reduced training costs, improved reporting and customer segmentation, and allowed sales and profitability growth without adding staff.
