C&O Nursery Grows with Flexible Acumatica ERP

C&O Nursery, a third-generation, family-owned grower founded in 1906 in Washington State, produces and sells finished fruit trees—many patented varieties—to orchard growers worldwide. As the industry shifted to multi-year contracts, patented royalties and higher-density planting, C&O outgrew its split, outdated systems (Dynamics GP and an Access-based inventory tool) that didn’t integrate, couldn’t track living inventory over years, and couldn’t handle a large seasonal workforce.

C&O implemented Acumatica (Distribution Edition and Payroll), a browser-based, .NET platform customized by its IT partner, to unify accounting, inventory and order management. The system provides real-time, year-based inventory visibility, mobile access for field quoting, accurate royalty and commission tracking, and streamlined seasonal payroll—eliminating duplicate data entry, improving customer service and auditability, and giving the company a scalable foundation for growth.
