Case Study: University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine achieves successful LCME accreditation with Acuity Insights

Setting new standard for evaluation, curriculum management, and logging

The University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine needed to modernize several manual processes ahead of an LCME site visit, including paper-based evaluations, a tedious CurrMIT curriculum import process, and an in-house student logging system that was slow, cumbersome, and difficult to report from. To address these challenges, the school turned to Acuity Insights’ one45 learning experience management platform.

Acuity Insights implemented standardized evaluation forms, curriculum management tools to streamline and bypass manual CurrMIT data entry, and clinical logging features for procedure and patient encounter tracking. The result was a successful LCME accreditation visit, better oversight of student experiences, and less administrative burden from data entry, with the school also adopting new best practices through Acuity Insights’ client services team.
