Campbell University pilots Acuity Insights PSD with 40 engineering students

Campbell University's School of Engineering sought a scalable way to measure professional skills like ethical reasoning and communication in its undergraduate program, as traditional assessment methods were difficult to manage consistently. To address this challenge, the university partnered with Acuity Insights to pilot their Professional Skills Development (PSD) assessment.

Acuity Insights implemented the PSD tool as a low-friction replacement for an existing assignment, allowing about 40 first-year students to complete the assessment in a live course setting. The solution provided Campbell with critical insights into student readiness, revealing emerging strengths and professional skill gaps that were previously hard to capture. The pilot with Acuity Insights validated faculty observations and provided structured, defensible data on competency development.
