The Navigator Company, an integrated forest producer of pulp, paper, tissue and energy with 3,000 employees across Portugal and the USA, needed to modernize time recording and access control while optimizing IT and infrastructure resources. Since it had been an Actuasys customer since 2004, the company turned to Actuasys for a solution that could also integrate reliably with SAP.

Actuasys implemented an integrated setup using TUX930 terminals with RFID Mifare and fingerprint biometrics, along with EXPERT access control and the SAP-certified INTERFACE module for time management. The solution now manages employee, visitor and external access across all sites, including turnstiles, vehicle barriers and doors, and the deployment includes 65 UMV3, 80 UMV5, 32 UMV6, 15 TUX930 and 2 TUX510 units.
