Leading School District, a county district responsible for transporting 109,000 students daily and logging 65,000 miles per day, faced a sudden loss of its 2G push-to-talk service and needed a way to maintain reliable driver communication, near-real-time bus tracking, and mobile timekeeping to keep students and drivers safe. They selected Actsoft’s TeamWherx™ mobile resource management platform to replace push-to-talk and provide GPS tracking and mobile timekeeping.

Actsoft implemented TeamWherx™ to deliver intra-company messaging, GPS tracking, and in-bus mobile clocking. The solution enabled route optimization and traffic-pattern analysis to reduce fuel use and travel time, improved timesheet accuracy by allowing drivers to clock in/out on smartphones with payroll data integrating directly into the district’s financial system, and recorded events/alerts (e.g., speeding) to strengthen safety and communication.
