WebGrabber Facilitates the Recovery of Missing Children for Project Safe Childhood

Project Safe Childhood (PSC), a Department of Justice–led initiative launched in 2006 to locate and rescue exploited and abducted children, developed the KidFriendlyID application to organize critical child data. PSC faced multi-day delays getting sharable information to the right jurisdictions—parents and local agencies had no easy, reliable way to generate and distribute reports quickly, which reduced the chances of timely recovery.

PSC implemented ActivePDF’s DocGenius WebGrabber to convert secure, web-submitted child profiles (photos, fingerprints and vitals) into downloadable PDF reports that are automatically emailed to local and federal authorities. The solution provides instant, platform-independent distribution of time-sensitive information, improving coordination among agencies and increasing the likelihood of recovering missing children.
