ActiveDocs reduces days to minutes, improving efficiency and productivity in document generation at TechnologyOne

TechnologyOne, a global enterprise software and services provider, needed to speed up and standardize the production of complex, customer-specific solution specification and configuration documents that can run to hundreds of pages. Although TechnologyOne already used a cloud-based Content Management system, assembling the right mix of static and dynamic content quickly and accurately was time-consuming; they engaged ActiveDocs to address document generation, using ActiveDocs’ Document Composition platform with ActiveDocs Designer and the browser-based ActiveDocs Document Wizard.

ActiveDocs implemented rule-driven Templates (designed in Microsoft Word via ActiveDocs Designer) that integrate with TechnologyOne’s CMS and other systems, plus a Document Wizard that turns templates into guided Q&A sessions and an automated composition engine with workflow controls. The result: document assembly that once took one to two weeks can now be completed in minutes (often well under an hour), delivering orders-of-magnitude improvements in turnaround, reduced content risk and errors, and freed-up staff time—while increasing the practical value of TechnologyOne’s Content Management system.
