ActiveDocs helps Delta Dental of Arkansas customize proposals in minutes

Delta Dental of Arkansas, the state’s largest dental and vision care provider serving more than 1.7 million members, needed a faster, more flexible way to produce proposals, membership certificates and policy documents. Their previous database-plus-mail-merge system produced high-quality output but was rigid and required programmers for even minor edits. Delta Dental of Arkansas selected ActiveDocs document automation and template management software to address this challenge.

ActiveDocs implemented a template-driven solution (26 templates) that runs on a dedicated server and integrates with Delta Dental’s data warehouse and web portal, letting non-technical staff generate finished PDFs from Microsoft Word–based templates with a single click. As a result, ActiveDocs cut editing time from about an hour to roughly 30 seconds (and changes that once took four–eight hours now take minutes), eliminated programmer involvement for routine updates, and reduced some documents from eight pages to as few as one.
