A ActiveDEMAND Case Study
Elite Taekwondo, a family-focused martial arts studio in Edmonton, Alberta with roughly 250 students, was seeing diminishing returns from traditional advertising (signage, print and YellowPages) despite having a long-standing website. In 2009 they integrated ActiveDEMAND marketing automation to move from offline tactics to a full online marketing strategy.
ActiveDEMAND implemented an attraction–convert–retain program (SEO, PPC with a $200/month budget, local listings; a “Free Week Trial” web form with automated emails and staff follow-up; and monthly retention emails and review requests) and provided tracking and reporting to optimize campaigns. Over six months Elite saw a 112% increase in unique website visitors, a 500% rise in call-to-action conversions and a 40% increase in new students (+70 members, about $85,000 in added annual revenue), prompting them to shift offline spend to online and expand PPC—results driven by ActiveDEMAND.
