Infostud Shares Their ActiveCollab Workflow

Infostud, the operator of a family of widely used Serbian websites with more than 10 million monthly visits, needed a more powerful way to manage dozens of development and maintenance projects than their basic task manager allowed. In 2010 they deployed ActiveCollab (installed on their server and customized) to replace the simple task tool and give teams a unified project workflow.

ActiveCollab provided centralized project visibility—tracking progress, time spent, completion percentage, task status/priority, file storage and email notifications—and allowed controlled access for external partners. Using ActiveCollab Infostud managed over 70 projects, consolidated project communication and time tracking, closed many tasks and bug fixes more efficiently, adapted the tool to Scrum workflows, and continues to rely on ActiveCollab for central operations such as administration and HR.
