Alejandro Esbozos, founder of Blocdeesbozos, runs a Spanish marketing consultancy and needed a simple way to manage sales and customer data without adding another paid CRM that his team would have to adopt. He was already using ActiveCollab for task management and collaboration, so he tested whether ActiveCollab could double as his CRM to avoid switching tools and centralize work and contacts.
By using ActiveCollab projects as Kanban boards, labels and Task Reminders, he built a six-stage sales funnel (Lead, Contact, Delivered, Second Meeting, Accepted, Rejected) and a Presales project for networking, moving tasks between projects as relationships progress. ActiveCollab eliminated the separate CRM subscription, improved team communication and follow-up, centralized customer history, and sped pipeline movement (typically one week from Lead to Delivered and another to Accepted/Rejected), delivering clearer sales visibility and better conversion management.
