Upper Makefield Basketball is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) youth program in Upper Makefield, PA, running 14 travel and 58 intramural teams for grades 2–12. The organization faced a time-consuming, paper-based registration process—open registration events and phone sign-ups required over 70 man-hours each season, produced stacks of forms and checks, and forced volunteers to spend significant time on manual data entry and reconciliation.

The league adopted Active’s Registration Center and actively promoted online sign-ups; online registrations grew from ~35% in year one to nearly 70% in year two and over 90% by year three. The switch eliminated most check handling and manual data entry, improved data accuracy and daily reconciliation, and made registration more convenient for families while streamlining the board’s operations.
