Granite School District in Salt Lake City, Utah, needed to streamline accounting across 88 schools and replace inconsistent manual processes with a system that could track student payments, improve accountability, and enable online credit card payments. The district also wanted to reduce the time financial secretaries spent on manual entry and reporting. ACTIVE Network’s Blue Bear Software was selected to help solve these challenges.

ACTIVE Network implemented the Tracks, SchoolBooks, and WebStore solution across the district, with installation on district servers and training for school staff. The result was a more integrated accounting process with far less manual data entry, cutting manual input by 2–3 hours per day. Online payments also improved collection rates, with course fee collection increasing from 70% to 92%.
