Innovative Partnership To Find the Best Online Technology For their Consortium

MacPhail Center for Music is an independent Minneapolis nonprofit that serves about 8,200 students yearly across music education and community programs. Facing an outdated desktop system (Art Pro) that lacked remote access, security and flexibility, MacPhail joined a consortium of peer arts schools to pool resources and seek a modern, online school-management solution.

The consortium issued an RFP and selected ACTIVE Network; MacPhail implemented the system in 2009, concentrating first on back-office functionality before opening online registration. The new platform centralized data access, improved reporting and automated scheduling, delivered responsive support, reduced administrative costs, enhanced marketing and drew positive staff and faculty feedback.
