A Action Sustainability Case Study

Preview of the SUEZ UK Case Study

SUEZ UK Advances Sustainable Procurement Process through full ISO20400 Evaluation

SUEZ recycling and recovery UK (SUEZ) wanted to measure its progress in sustainable procurement performance after implementing previous recommendations. The company needed an in-depth, objective review of its practices, including broad stakeholder involvement, to identify realistic actions for improvement and sought support from Action Sustainability to conduct an ISO 20400 evaluation.

Action Sustainability performed this evaluation by conducting a desktop review of procurement documents and a series of one-on-one interviews with staff across the SUEZ business. This process resulted in a detailed report with findings and actionable suggestions. The outcome gave SUEZ’s procurement team increased confidence in their processes, revealed areas of mature good practice, and provided a clear action plan with timescales to help them better align procurement with sustainability goals, prioritize opportunities, and identify risks.
