A Action Sustainability Case Study
Southeastern Railway sought to identify the existing good practices and gaps within its sustainable procurement performance. The company engaged Action Sustainability to conduct an in-depth ISO 20400 evaluation to provide an objective review and create a prioritised action plan for improvement.
Action Sustainability performed the evaluation through a desktop review of key documents and a series of one-to-one interviews with staff across various functions. The resulting report gave Southeastern Railway confidence in its existing strengths and provided a clear action plan to align its processes with the ISO 20400 standard. The recommendations focused on strengthening supplier performance management and embedding a new Sustainable Procurement Policy, ultimately helping to better align procurement with organizational sustainability goals.
