Allwyn UK Integrates Social Value into their Procurement Process

Allwyn UK, part of a multinational lottery group, faced the challenge of integrating ambitious Social Value and net zero goals into its procurement processes to support its successful bid to operate the UK's National Lottery. To meet this objective, they engaged the consultancy services of Action Sustainability to help revise their procurement policy and RFx process to effectively communicate these themes to suppliers.

Action Sustainability addressed this by first conducting a comprehensive review of Allwyn UK's procurement landscape. They then developed a bespoke Social Value questionnaire for supplier evaluations and delivered sustainable procurement training, including on ISO 20400. This solution provided Allwyn UK with a robust foundation to articulate its objectives to its supply chain, guide suppliers beyond compliance, and identify opportunities for improvement aligned with its net zero and Social Value commitments.
