Boehringer Ingelheim drives 43 media coverages with Action Global Communications

Boehringer Ingelheim partnered with Action Global Communications to mark its 100 years in respiratory care and raise awareness of interstitial lung diseases (ILDs) in Bulgaria. The challenge was to educate both medical specialists and the general public about the symptoms, risk factors, and high-risk groups associated with these diseases, while also promoting a new medication indication for systemic sclerosis-associated ILD.

Action Global Communications devised a two-phase campaign. For medical specialists, they organized a National Interdisciplinary Meeting. For the public, they created the "Take a breath with hope" initiative, which featured a striking art installation of a melting ice lung sculpture to symbolize disease progression. The solution also included media events, partnerships, informational leaflets, outdoor advertising, and social media promotion. The results were significant, with over 10,000 leaflets distributed, 43 media coverages including TV and radio, and advertisements placed in more than 150 locations.
