A ACTICO Case Study
DZ Private Bank, a Swiss specialist in private banking, fund services and loans, faced an inflexible commission accounting system that could not easily map diverse terms and conditions, support complex commission models, or integrate with other systems. To automate accounting, controlling and reporting and to enable faster product launches, the bank engaged atori GmbH and adopted ACTICO Rules from vendor ACTICO to bring business-rule flexibility to its commission calculations.
ACTICO implemented a rules-based architecture that separates business rules from application logic using ACTICO Rules, enabling graphical modeling, scenario simulation and automatic code generation that integrates into the application. The solution went live in three months, delivered greater transparency and maintainability, opened a long-term flexible architecture for products and parameters, and—together with atori’s JAS connector—allowed DZ Private Bank to react quickly to changes and efficiently implement new products and models.
