The Hub Achieves $1.3 Million in New Revenue + Happier Hotel Guests & Staff

Clarion Hotel The Hub, Norway’s largest hotel with 810 rooms, saw occupancy plunge and staff cut from 400 to 14 overnight when COVID hit. To maintain service with a skeleton crew and enable safe, contactless guest communication, the property adopted Actabl’s ALICE platform (alice by actabl), primarily using its messaging features and housekeeping module to rework operations and guest engagement.

Using Actabl’s ALICE messaging to reach guests before arrival and promote in-room upsells, and the ALICE housekeeping tools to coordinate a lean team, The Hub generated $1.3M in new revenue over summer 2020 (4x in-room upsell revenue vs. summer 2019), increased guest messaging responses from 307 (5%) in July 2019 to 2,635 (95%) in July 2020, raised NPS from 52.77 to 54.46, and improved staff eNPS by +0.5% year-over-year.
