TOKAI Communications, a Japanese telecommunications enterprise offering internet, network, and system-integration services, faced a shift from on-premises backups to cloud-based needs and was concerned about ROI and supporting diverse, including legacy, environments. To address this, TOKAI launched its OneOffice Remote Backup Service powered by Acronis Backup Cloud, partnering with Acronis to deliver a secure cloud backup option that met requirements for multi-platform and legacy OS support.

Using Acronis Backup Cloud, TOKAI avoided upfront asset investments with a pay-per-usage model, accelerated time to profitability, and reduced operational costs while delivering highly customizable, easy-to-use backup plans. Acronis enabled image-based backups across Windows/Linux, physical/virtual, and cloud environments (and support for older OSes), improving reliability versus snapshots and positioning TOKAI to expand into disaster-recovery offerings (including potential use of Acronis Disaster Recovery Cloud).
