Rush Memorial Hospital Protects Medical Records with Acronis Software

Rush Memorial Hospital, a community hospital in Rushville, Indiana, faced slow, inflexible tape- and disk-based backups that couldn’t meet the immediate RTOs required for critical systems like Healthland EMR and Merge radiology. The hospital engaged Acronis—first using Acronis Snap Deploy to roll out 260 PCs and then adopting Acronis Backup—to move from VSS/tape solutions to full-image, disk-based protection.

Acronis delivered image-based backup and recovery that supports restores to dissimilar hardware and virtual machines, simplifying migrations and speeding deployments. As a result, Rush Memorial now averages about 30 minutes to recover 50 GB, can provision a server from an image in roughly 20 minutes, has reduced storage purchases through SAN compression, and eliminated the need for expensive standby duplicate servers using Acronis.
