A Acronis Case Study

Preview of the Racing Point UK Limited Case Study

Racing Point UK Limited saves 156 hours each year partnering with Acronis

Racing Point UK Limited, the British Formula One team based in Silverstone, was hampered by slow, tape-based backups, rising storage and maintenance costs, and an inability to meet restore requests. To address these issues the team partnered with Acronis, adopting Acronis Cyber Cloud and Acronis Cyber Infrastructure as their replacement backup and recovery solution.

Acronis deployed the new platform in about two weeks and guided Racing Point’s IT through setup and backup seeding; the result was a three-hours-per-week time saving (156 hours per year), restores cut from days to roughly two minutes, reduced storage costs by moving off tapes, and intuitive management that lets first-line staff run restores quickly. Acronis’ solution now protects about 150 TB across physical and virtual servers, delivering faster recoveries and more reliable backups for the team.
