Phoenix Printing Plates Ltd, a leading UK flexo plate supplier, struggled to get its Macs to work reliably with a new Windows SBS Server 2010—users faced long delays browsing folders, file rename/move and permission issues, slow and inaccurate searches, and poor overall performance. Although they initially overlooked Acronis, the team needed Acronis Files Connect to provide a native AFP connection for Macs of varying OS ages and to avoid costly Mac replacements.

Acronis deployed Acronis Files Connect (including ShadowConnect) on the server, restoring native AFP access for all Macs within 30 minutes and enabling easy restoration of previous or deleted files via Microsoft VSS.
