KLIA accelerates backup and data recovery with Acronis Backup

KLIA, a European wholesale florist with branches in Bohuslavice, Ostrava, Brno and Prague, faced repeated data-loss incidents and slow recovery processes that threatened its high-frequency delivery operations. Using the myWAC application and ESET antivirus, KLIA suffered a ransomware encryption event and a disk-array failure; because myWAC only backed up selected files, full server restores were manual and time-consuming, taking up to two days to bring systems back online.

To address this, KLIA deployed Acronis Backup (licensing four physical servers with options to cover virtual machines) and Acronis Active Protection for AI-based anti-ransomware defense. Acronis enabled hourly incremental backups plus daily full server backups, cutting potential downtime from days to hours and allowing complete server recovery in about two hours. The solution also improved recovery speed for workstations, reduced data loss risk, and strengthened ransomware protection for KLIA.
