Smile IT, a Brisbane-based tech solutions partner serving 715+ active clients, faced persistent gaps in email protection: high volumes of phishing and spam reaching inboxes, frequent false positives/negatives, and no visual warnings for external or suspicious messages. After evaluating several vendors, Smile IT trialed Acronis’ solution—Acronis Advanced Email Security—to find a more accurate, user-friendly email security product that fit with their existing Acronis ecosystem.

Smile IT deployed Acronis Advanced Email Security (powered by Perception Point) and integrated it with the Acronis platform; the solution delivered high detection rates with minimal false positives, user warning banners, quarantines that generate IT support tickets, and rich threat intelligence. As a result, Acronis now protects 26 clients and over 1,455 mailboxes for Smile IT, blocked more than 89,512 security incidents in the past month, reduced deployment time to under half an hour per client, and streamlined administration and billing.
