Hendrick Motorsports Switches to Acronis Cyber Protect to Support All Devices and Application Data

Hendrick Motorsports, a championship-winning NASCAR team, faced gaps in its cyber protection: no endpoint or Microsoft 365 backups, lack of multi-location backup/DR, and a unique race-day problem of ingesting up to 5,000 high-resolution photos every three-hour race. Seeking broader coverage than its prior provider, Hendrick Motorsports engaged Acronis and adopted Acronis Cyber Protect and Acronis Machine Learning to address these needs.

Acronis delivered hybrid-cloud backups, Microsoft 365 protection, unified management and disaster recovery through Acronis Cyber Protect, while a custom Acronis ML tool automatically classifies and tags race photos (by car number and orientation) and a web app enables fast search. As a result Hendrick Motorsports now runs daily backups across 250TB (including 100TB of engineering/wind-tunnel data), protects all devices and Teams/SharePoint/mailboxes, processes thousands of photos per race automatically, and benefits from faster failover and reduced redundant data-center costs.
